Carta de María Xosé Queizán ao Consello Municipal da Muller de Vigo
A escritora María Xosé Queizán enviounos copia da carta que onte dirixiu ao Consello Escolar da Muller de Vigo con motivo da primeira reunión deste mandato. Creo que merece ser difundia pola rede.
Queridas amigas e compañeiras feministas:
Recibín unha alegría cando souben que no Consello Municipal da Muller do Concello de Vigo, me propuxerades para formar parte da Real Academia Galega. Dixen xa daquela que o voso recoñecemento era máis importante para min que o ingreso nesa alta Institución. Ademais, afanástevos para conseguir moitos apoios, comezando polo Concello da miña cidade, que tanto me gorentou, e outros Concellos, Asociacións e persoas galegas a quen lles debo recoñecemento. Estou en débeda con tod@s, e non podía defraudarvos. Pero, pasado un tempo, supoño que sodes conscientes do que eu xa o era: que non se ía producir tal ingreso. Porén pídovos a liberdade para expresarme e declarar os meus desexos.
Nunca quixen nin quero entrar na Academia. Cónstame que ante esta declaración haberá quen lembre a Fábula de Esopo: a raposa e as uvas.. Non é o meu caso. Pero tampouco me importa que non o crean. Levo toda a vida soportando atribucións arteiras e menoscabos sen que iso afectase á miña saúde, o meu optimismo e o meu goce intelectual.
Non me vexo na Academia e tampouco teño tempo para esa ocupación. Son abondas xa as miñas ansias e preocupacións, entre as que están as literarias, as culturais e o activismo feminista.
Sei que as amigas e compañeiras feministas confiaban no labor que podía levar a cabo nesa Real Institución a favor das mulleres galegas, no eido lingüístico e cultural. Mais, o certo é que nese lugar só se pode entrar para traballar polo intereses dos académicos. Nesa Casa, ( onde por certo habitou a gran sabia e feminista Emilia Pardo Bazán, que, mesmo querendo, non conseguiu entrar na Academia. Tampouco entrou Rosalía de Castro) predomina o imaxinario masculino. A teoría feminista, que comeza cun precursor no s.XVII, Pullain de la Barre, segue no s.XVIII con Olimpe de Gouche e Mary Wollstonecraft. coa Vindicación dos dereitos da Muller, Condorcet, Benito Feixó, Martín Sarmiento, J.Stuart Mill, F. Engels, Augusto Bebel, Pierre Bordeaux ou o actual Carl Djerassi, por citar homes, e tantas filósofas, comezando por Simone de Beauvoir, Kate Millet, Clara Campoamor, M. Le Doeuff. até as milleiras que na actualidade como Celia Amorós ou Amelia Valcárcel, forman un rico corpus, é ignorada nese contexto. Os libros onde se amosa esa herdanza intelectual, non deben figurar nas bibliotecas nin nas mentes dos ilustres académicos.
Afirmo que non hai acritude nas palabras anteriores. Só constatacións. Mesmo se negan a Lei de Igualdade e a propia democracia, teño un vínculo coa Academia co que sempre me identificarei: a lingua galega. Ademais sei que os argumentos expostos non son ofensivos para os distinguidos académicos. Consideran que o saber é cousa de homes, no sentido máis específico do termo, e fixeron coas mulleres unha privación inicua…ignoro por que dereito natural fundamental, de non ser o outro que a forza, segundo o Rousseau xuvenil.
Pretendín demostrarlle á cidadanía que me propuxo que a Academia será o último que cambie na sociedade. Aínda que vaian introducindo algunha muller a conta gotas coma quen regala unha flor.
Hoxe, día 14 de Setembro de 2011, no 1º Consello Municipal da Muller do novo mandatoda, pídovos a liberdade para declarar que non quero nin quererei entrar na Real Academia Galega, así como amosar a miña desculpa ante todas as institucións e persoas que me apoiaron.
Reitero as grazas e ofrezo a miña solidariedade e o afecto de sempre.
