Como xa adiantei na tertulia da noite do luns, o anuncio de Papandreu de someter a referendo o segundo «rescate» aprobado no cumio europeo da semana pasada actuou como un auténtico tsunami sobre as bolsas e mercados de débeda soberana, que viviron onte un dos peores días da súa historia recente. Papandreu non tivo outro remedio que realizar esta convocatoria, presionado polo rexeitamento moi amplo da cidadanía a aceptar novas medidas de recurte, que padecerían durante toda unha década. Hoxe as consecuencias desta arriscada convocatoria de referendo son impredicibles. Pode supoñer a saída de Grecia do euro pola decisión soberana da súa cidadanía, o que provocaría un auténtica catástrofe para a banca europea, que coa nova moeda grega moi devaluada non recuperaría xa nada da súa débeda. Como podería supoñer un efecto dominó sobre Italia e España, afogados no abismo da súas elevadísimos primas de risco. No entanto, quizais o feito máis significativo da convocatoria de Papandreu é  que até agora ninguén ousara arrepoñerse aos ditados emanados por Merkel e Sarkozy, o FMI ou o BCE. A cidadanía grega, diante do desconcerto dos seus partidos políticos, pode estar dando unha volta de torca á historia. Imaxinamos o que sucedería se esta actitude contaxia a outros países?
