Onte 65: Anxo Fariña
Saín moi satisfeito da presentación do premio Merlín deste ano, un acto que evidencia a madurez adquirida por Anxo Fariña, un dos nosos autores hoxe con maior proxección. Como sucedera hai vinte e cinco anos, cando unha nova e ampla xeración de autores iniciou o proxecto dunha literatura infantil e xuvenil en galego normalizada, identifico nestes últimos anos varias xeiras de autores e autoras moi interesantes que se afanan en continualo e anovalo. Unha noticia excelente. Entre eles atopamos a singularidade e dinamismo de Fariña que, como fai tamén o xenial Jacobo Fernández Serrano, arrisca escribindo e ilustrando dende as marxes da fantasía e da ciencia ficción sobre temas clásicos da literatura xuvenil. Tras o éxito rotundo dos Megatoxos, serie que será reeditada na súa totalidade por Xerais o vindeiro ano, Fariña escribiu e ilustrou un formidable relato no que visita o mito de Prometeo, como fixera Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley co seu Frankestein. Faino coa intención de procurar, dende a confianza nas posibilidades da ciencia –máis en concreto da biotecnoloxía e a robótica–, os límites da perfección do ser humano.
